Buying a Franklin Hill Labrador Puppy

Please read this page completely. It will make buying a puppy a more enjoyable experience.

Labrador Retrievers are a wonderful breed and I am proud to be a part of their history. However, as a breeder, I have a responsibility to protect the future of the breed. As a result of this responsibility puppies are sold on an AKC limited registration. AKC limited registration restricts breeding. I also require that a pup be spayed/neutered prior to the age of 1 year.

I never encourage or require an owner to breed a Franklin Hill Labrador. Selective breeding requires years of knowledge and research that the most owners lack. I hope you understand that I do this to protect the health and future of the breed.

All my pups are vet checked, wormed, and have had their initial Duramune DA2PPV shots. They are raised in my home and are handled with love. Mothers are allowed to take care of their pups until the day they leave for their new home. This is SO important in the development of sound temperaments.

Please do not be offended if I ask as many questions of you as you do of me, as I am responsible for the future of my puppies. This is, and will remain, a shared responsibility and trust between breeder and owner.

Before purchasing a puppy, please understand the commitment that you are accepting. It takes TIME, PATIENCE, WORK, and most of all LOVE.

I encourage visits to my kennel ( by appointment only) for you to meet my dogs, as well as myself, and for me to meet you.

Thank you for your interest in Franklin Hill Labradors!
